Put the wow factor into your sitting room with this spectacular handcrafted wooden oval rich mahogany coloured Chinese table measuring approx. 49 ½ inches by 29 ½ across by 20 ½ high. Using techniques thousands of years old, mother of pearl has been inlaid into the raised rib around the outside of the top of the table together with golden painted decoration. That same decoration features down the legs as well, whereas the lowered middle inner of the table top contains a skilled bas relief design of birds and flowers using a variety of stones and paint including probably Soapstone. There is slight damage near to one of the legs of one of the birds. We bought it in Xian in 2001 and will be sorry to see it go but it just doesn’t fit into our house after the alterations
